The need for interpretive trails to protect the species of Tortuguero National Park
In de order to enhance the visitor's experience in the park and to provide them with information on the species, their care and the park's rules, Tortuguero National Park presented a proposal to ProParques for the positioning of interpretive signs in strategic sites of the park, including the resting areas
Tortuguero National Park is very special, it is a labyrinth in the Caribbean coast formed by rivers, channels and lagoons. It can only be accessed by boat or by aircraft. It is a Ramsar site (wetlands of international relevance) and one of the world's most important areas for the nesting of the green turtle (Chelonia mydas).
The project is approved and thanks to the collaboration of business partners, it will become a reality soon as the design and the production of fourteen sings, benches and trash cans will be donated
